Divorces

  • To legally file for divorce in Los Angeles County, you or your spouse must have lived in California at least 6 months before filing for divorce and at least 3 months in the county of Los Angeles leading up to filing.

  • The earliest a divorce can be finalized is at least 6 months and a day from the date your spouse is properly served with a summons and petition for dissolution of marriage. This is California law.
